Sanna’s Record-Breaking Run
Ultra-runner Sanna Duthie Smashes Pembrokeshire Coast Path Record
On 12 August 2025, ultra-runner Sanna Duthie set a new Fastest Known Time (FKT) on the 186-mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path, completing the route in an astonishing 48 hours, 23 minutes, and 49 seconds.
This was her second attempt of the year, improving on her previous personal best of 51½ hours. Over the course of the run, Sanna conquered rugged terrain, unpredictable weather, and exhaustion, covering the equivalent of nearly seven consecutive marathons.
As of August 2025, her effort has also raised over £2,600 for the Pembrokeshire Coast Charitable Trust. These funds go directly into conservation, trail repairs, and community engagement projects that help safeguard the Coast Path for future generations.
Trust Director Katie Macro praised her feat:
“Completing 186 miles in under 49 hours is an incredible feat, and the fact she has raised over £2,000 for the Coast Path makes her achievement even more meaningful.”
Both of Sanna’s extraordinary attempts this year were captured on film. Her April 2025 attempt was released earlier this year and is already available to watch here.
Her latest, record-breaking August run was also filmed and is now being crafted into a feature-length documentary by filmmakers Kelp & Fern. This new film, currently in post-production, will premiere on 28th November 2025. A second screening is also planned, with ticket proceeds going directly to the Pembrokeshire Coast Charitable Trust.
